THE Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines, on Jan. 24, 2025, was granted exclusive access to India 's digital repository of traditional medical systems through a special agreement between Manila and New Delhi.The Traditional Knowledge Digital Library was established in 2001 as a collaborative effort between India 's Council of Scientific and Industrial Research and the Department of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy.

Philippine Ambassador to India Josel Ignacio and Head of CSIR TKDL Unit Viswajanani Sattiger presided over the ceremonial exchange of copies of the access agreement at the CSIR headquarters in New Delhi.Currently, the TKDL database includes approximately 515,000 formulations and practices from Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, Yoga, and Sowa Rigpa.Efforts were being made to incorporate traditional Indian agricultural and metallurgical knowledge into the library.
