KOTA KINABALU: The underprivileged in Sabah and Labuan will get food baskets from the PETRONAS Foundation in conjunction with the agency’s Hari Raya Aidilfitri programme.
The food packages would include basic food necessities and festive food supplies such as glutinous rice, coconut milk, rendang paste and peanut sauce, said PETRONAS Project Delivery and Technology senior vice -president Datuk Bacho Pilong.
"This distribution under our 'Memacu Kehidupan: Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2023' programme is done in support of the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry’s Bakul Rahmah initiative," he said. "Through the Memacu Kehidupan initiative, Yayasan PETRONAS extends necessities aimed at improving the well-being of the communities.
Bacho said the Memacu Kehidupan programme is designed to provide not just food, but to also bring about a sense of community and support during the festive season.
