PETALING JAYA: Petroliam Nasional Bhd. (Petronas) menamatkan operasinya di Sudan Selatan yang dikendalikan oleh anak syarikatnya, Petronas Carigali Nile Ltd (PCNL).

“PCNL akan terus bekerjasama dengan semua pihak berkepentingan berkaitan untuk memastikan peralihan yang lancar sambil mengambil kira hak pekerjanya, mengikut undang-undang yang terpakai, perjanjian petroleum serta dasar dan prosedur Petronas,” katanya. Syarikat minyak dan gas negara itu juga bergelut dengan pemisahan Sudan Selatan daripada Republik Sudan pada 2011 selepas beberapa dekad konflik bersenjata yang mengorbankan lebih dua juta orang.
