KUALA LUMPUR, May 27 — Petroliam Nasional Bhd said that it has offered its full cooperation to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s investigation into a project involving a foreign oil-and-gas company.
“Petronas refers to the statement issued by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission on the investigation file opened by MACC in relation to Petronas’ award of contract in 2021 to a Malaysian subsidiary of an international upstream company. Following MACC’s recommendation and in line with Petronas’ zero tolerance against corruption, Petronas continues to improve and strengthen its standard operating procedures as a serious ongoing effort to prevent and fight all forms of corruption and misconduct by employees, directors and third parties employed by or on behalf of the companies in the group,” the statement read.
“In the investigation involving the project worth RM399 million in Sarawak, Petronas has provided full cooperation to the MACC.
