Opposition leader Peter Dutton welcomed Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s visit to Alice Springs but called on the government to act “urgently” to help solve the crime wave plaguing the town.

He said there are many Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in the town whose lives are being “adversely impacted”.
