New South Wales Premier Dominic Perrottet says “it was a mistake” to wear a Nazi uniform at his 21st birthday party and apologises to “anyone who has been hurt”.
“I have always been a strong supporter of the Jewish community, and as I said yesterday, I’m terribly sorry … this is on me, it was a mistake that I made, and I’m incredibly, incredibly sorry,” Mr Perrottet said during a press conference.
“My hope is that some good can come from that terrible mistake I made years ago, and hopefully, it will lead to young people never making the same mistake that I did.”
