Perodua unveiled the e.MAS7 concept vehicle at KLIMS 2024, showcasing a futuristic design with a range of 400km, a CATL-sourced LFP battery, and aiming for less than 7 seconds 0-100km/h acceleration.
The concept vehicle was unveiled during Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2024 and features a more futuristic design than the earlier Perodua eMO-I concept. This electric hatchback EV boasts a range of about 400km and is equipped with a CATL-sourced LFP battery with a capacity of about 50kWh. Charging takes about 8 hours on AC and 30 minutes from 30-80% on DC. Perodua aims for a 0-100km/h acceleration time of less than 7 seconds.
The carmaker expects to launch its first EV in 2025, targeting a production volume of 500 per month initially. Regarding battery swapping, Perodua stated it is under study but no details were revealed yet
