Physiotherapist Tim Dettman says people should start lifting weights for “health” rather than “aesthetics” in 2023.
“That’s to avoid chronic diseases, avoid diabetes, to treat your arthritis, to treat your back pain,” Mr Dettman told Sky News Australia.
He said “the average gym goer is going to shift from a 25-year-old wearing a small singlet” to older people who want to “improve” their “quality of life”.
