Foreign Minister Penny Wong is being urged to sanction the three men responsible for the downing of the Malaysian airlines flight MH17, which killed all 298 people on board, including 38 Australians.

More than 100 days after three pro-Russian separatists were found guilty in The Hague – the Opposition is calling on the Albanese government to apply sanctions on the trio.

A spokesperson for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade says Australia will hold those responsible to account.
