Kota Kinabalu: Seorang penganggur warga Filipina tanpa dokumen dipenjara setahun pada Jumaat kerana menyerang isterinya menggunakan penyodok.

Jerald Ali Basari, 29, mengaku bersalah di hadapan Majistret Lovely Natasha Charles atas pertuduhan secara sengaja menyebabkan kecederaan kepada isterinya menggunakan penyodok pada pukul 3 pagi 31 Julai lalu, di sebuah rumah di Kg Bandulan, Jalan Sepanggar dekat sini.Kesalahan di bawah Seksyen 324 Kanun Keseksaan itu membawa hukuman penjara sehingga 10 tahun atau denda atau dengan sebatan, atau mana-mana dua daripada hukuman itu, jika sabit kesalahan.
