Penang seeks cloud seeding assistance from Nadma
Penang is seeking Nadma’s assistance for cloud seeding operations to be carried out in water catchment areas at the Air Itam and Teluk Bahang dams. – The Malaysian Insight pic, April 13, 2023.
“In a discussion held on March 29 and in an official letter dated March 30, the State Secretary’s Office had informed Nadma’s operations implementation division that due to climate change, low rainfall was recorded in the water catchment areas of the Air Itam and Teluk Bahang dams. Pathmanathan said the State Secretary’s Office had also referred to the Malaysian Meteorological Department on the latest status of eligible companies that could carry out cloud seeding operations.
