Konferensi Para Uskup Malaysia , melalui surat pastoralnya bertarikh Mac 17, 2023 mengumumkan penarikan dispensasi dari mengikuti Misa Kudus dan pesta-pesta wajib.

Sejak pertengahan Mac 2020, kebebasan kita untuk menghadiri Misa secara fizikal telah terganggu disebabkan pandemik COVID-19. Oleh kerana bahaya kepada kesihatan kita, mengikut Undang-Undang Kanonik 87 §1 ia membolehkan Uskup diosis memberikan pengecualian umat beriman dari undang-undang disiplin, iaitu pengecualian dari kewajipan untuk menghadiri Misa pada hari Minggu dan pesta-pesta wajib.
