Peel police arrested a man from Orillia on several charges including human trafficking after a Canada wide investigation.
Investigators identified a male suspect and a “young survivor.” Police obtained a Canada wide warrant for the suspect, on charges of exercising control, advertising sexual services, breach of undertaking and assault. Officers kept investigating the suspect, police said, and arrested him in February on two counts of death threats, three counts of assault and one count each of sexual assault, human trafficking and possession of child pornography.
