While menstrual products are a basic need, many women struggle to afford them.Dispensers have been installed in both lobby washrooms at the Prince Edward Community Centre and the Wellington and District Community Centre.

Following a deputation from members of the public last year, council directed staff to explore the feasiblitiy of a pilot project to make the products available at community facilities. Staff will monitor results of the pilot and report back to Council this fall on a long-term plan for free menstrual products in additional locations.
