Paul Pepe said Thunder Bay is “a growing destination for the cruising market' which 'offers something very unique that cruisers can’t get in other markets as well.”
The cruise ship came from Toronto. The ship’s captain planned to leave the city at 6 p.m. heading for Duluth.
“This is their first of two stops in Thunder Bay. They'll be here again in a couple of days and they're already selling their cruises for next year so we’ll see them back in 2025,” he said. Pearl Mist will return on June 30 and Octantis will be back a few more times this summer along with several other ships.
