Workers in the hospitality, tourism and aviation sectors are among those to benefit, with full-time workers earning a minimum $40 extra every week.
The pay increases came after the Fair Work Commission in June lifted the hourly minimum wage from $20.33 to $21.38, or $812.60 a week. "My government is focused on tackling the spiralling cost of living that is making life tough for too many Australians," he said.
