Park staff closed the area as soon as there was a risk to public safety
Park superintendent Erika Poupore said in an email to Sudbury.com that the moose has been observed in the campground since Sunday, Jan. 8, and the aggression began Monday, Jan. 9 when park staff went to the campground’s yurts.
There have been no reported incidents within the park that involve the public. Park staff closed the area as soon as it was determined there was a risk to public safety.
