JOHOR BARU: The floods in Johor have also affected two national parks as well as several camping sites, says Tourism Johor director Suhairi Hashim.

He said that the two national parks that had been submerged were Endau-Rompin Peta and Endau-Rompin Selai.

“We are still in the midst of finding out the total amount of losses brought by the floods,” he told The Star. He said that all the islands in Johor had also been closed since January due to the monsoon season. “Normally, the islands will be reopened around March or April but we are not sure how things will be this time.
