Panthers sign G Knight to three-year extension. MORE:

Knight, 21, posted a 19-9-3 record, .908 save percentage and 2.79 goals against average over 32 games with Florida last season. A first-round pick of the Panthers in 2019, Knight has a career record of 23-9-3 record, .909 save percentage and 2.74 goals against average over 36 games. He made his NHL debut with Florida during the 2020-21 season.is also signed through the 2025-26 season and carries a cap hit of $10 million.
Knight's new contract means the Panthers will have $14.5 million in cap space allocated towards goaltenders from 2023-2026. With Knight now under contract for 2023-24, the Panthers are projected to have just over $11 million in cap space next summer with 16 players under contract, per CapFriendly.Aleksander Barkov
