Ayon kay Gerhard Murauer, bahagi ng public relations team ng Vienna City Library, walang kaalam-alam ang kanilang librarians tungkol sa sulat hanggang sa natagpuan ni Stockinger. "He found out more about his own history and countryman, Blumentritt, from visiting the Philippines and seeing a sign that says, 'Blumentritt Avenue'. From there, his body of research on Blumentritt and Rizal blossomed. I hope we can bring his writings in German to a greater audience by looking for a Filipino or an English translator to publish ," anang opisyal.
Binanggit din niya ang mga Austrian official na nag-censor kay Nordmann, at sinasabing kung sila ay magiging "rougher," "smarter," at "even more ridiculous and arrogant," sila ay katulad ng Spanish authorities na "preparing a much worse fate for me because of my novel."
