"Our sincerest condolences to the family, relatives, friends, and colleagues of former Senator Maria Teresa "Tessie" Aquino-Oreta..." Roque said in a statement. Aquino-Oreta, sister of slain democracy icon Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. and aunt of former president Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III, passed away Thursday night for a still undisclosed cause.
