Pahang will benefit much from Budget 2024, says MB

PETALING JAYA: Indonesian Jeffer Rosobin has been appointed as the Badminton Association of Malaysia's (BAM) new head of the junior department, replacing Datuk Misbun Sidek.

KUANTAN: Budget 2024 will bring great benefit to every level of society and give impetus to the positive economic growth of the country, says Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail.

The Pahang Mentri Besar said the budget tabled by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had been worked on comprehensively and holistically to cover various sectors such as the economy, infrastructure development, education, health, security, food security and initiatives to ease the burden of the people.Among them are RM47mil to upgrade passenger facilities at the Tioman Airport terminal and to extend the existing runway to 1,300m.

Taman Rimba Kenong in Lipis is also listed in the tourist attraction maintenance and conservation allocation of RM20mil. The Sungai Pahang basin is listed among the 33 high priority flood mitigation projects at a cost of RM11.8bil. Other initiatives are the construction of two new schools, namely SK Bunut Rendang and SMK Seri Melati in Kuantan as well as the Kuala Tahan health clinic in Jerantut."I hope that all Malaysians can fully support the budget that has been tabled for the sake of stability and common prosperity," said Wan Rosdy.
