BANGKOK: Move Forward deputy leader Sirikanya Tansakun said it would be a “positive dimension” for Thai politics were she to be named the leader of the new party to succeed Move Forward if the Constitutional Court orders its dissolution on Aug 7.

KUANTAN: The Sultan of Pahang has rebuked those who lack integrity by allowing the state's lands to be"colonised" by foreigners.

"Moreover, it is even more disappointing that these foreigners have taken on the role of 'tauke', controlling the supply and prices in the agricultural industry, leading to the emergence of cartels that harm the state's and the country's economy as a whole," said Al-Sultan Abdullah at an investiture ceremony held in conjunction with his 65th birthday on Tuesday .

"Fulfil the trust given with full integrity and remember that every action and responsibility will be accounted for later," he said. "Only with a holistic, firm, and sustainable approach can we protect this highland area from all forms of greed and irresponsible actions," he said. "In this regard, I want all enforcement agencies to act more aggressively and consistently to combat these crimes effectively," he said.

While extending his congratulations to the recipients of state honours and medals, Al-Sultan Abdullah reminded them that each medal represents not only an appreciation but also a trust.
