Pagasa: LPA dissipates, ‘amihan’ continues to bring rain over Luzon

The low pressure area that affected parts of the country for days disappeared but the northeast monsoon or “amihan” will continue to bring scattered rains over the region, the state weather bureau said Wednesday.

Del Mundo revealed that the agency monitors no LPA inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility so far, adding that no tropical cyclone is expected to form by the end of the week and over the weekend.Del Mundo said the Pagasa had monitored cloud clusters in Visayas and Mindanao, which will cause rain in parts of Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao region.

Meanwhile, the agency hoisted a gale warning in Batanes, Cagayan , Isabela, Aurora, Ilocos Norte, the northern coast of Quezon (including northern and eastern coast of Polillo Island, Camarines Norte, the northern coast of Camarines Sur, the northern coast of Catanduanes, Ilocos Sur, Pangasinan, La Union, and Zambales.
