Senator Robin Padilla wants to give more power to the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board to fight illegal content online.
He shared an instance when his wife Mariel Rodriguez borrowed his phone, and improper content popped out. Generally, the content users see on their social media accounts depends on how they interact with the platform.Kami pong lahat na taga-pelikula na nandidito sa Senado naniniwala po na kailangan madagdagan ang mandato ninyo para labanan po natin itong mga online na ito, action star-turned-senator said.
Padilla said since the MTRCB was established 38 years ago, its mandate and capabilities are already outdated if applied during current times.
