CPL season kicks off on Saturday
Pacific FC so believes it has its goalkeeper of the future that the club has extended 19-year-old Emil Gazdov’s contract by two years, with an option for a third, beyond this season to potentially keep him in the Tridents fold through 2026.
A decade apart in age, Gazdov and Irving will face each other in the opposite boxes Saturday when PFC opens the 2023 CPL season against Vancouver FC at Starlight Stadium. “Emil has great potential and all the tools to become a complete goalkeeper,” PFC head coach James Merriman said in a statement.
