CEBU CITY – A huge amount of suspected shabu was seized from a 26-year-old man in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Dao, Dauis town, Bohol province past midnight on Friday, Jan. 10.

PACKS of suspected shabu worth P13.7 million were recovered from a 26-year-old drug pusher in Cortes town, Bohol on Friday, Jan. 10. Police said two kilos of shabu with a standard drug price of P13,736,000 were seized from the suspect.

The operation was conducted by operatives of the Provincial Intelligence Unit of the Bohol Police Provincial Office. Police Lt. Col. Joemar Pomarejos of the Bohol PIU said that the suspect was the source of illegal drugs circulating in the province. Pomarejos was identified by a drug personality who yielded 1.5 kilos of shabu durig a buy-bust operation on July 20 last year in Cortes.“The operation was part of our anti-illegal drugs strategy, which targets the sources and supply chains of illegal substances while tackling the drug menace, following the directives of the Chief,” said PRO-Central Visayas chief Police Brig. Gen. Dionisio Bartolome.
