The Western Wind defeated the host Eastern Stars 4-3 on Jan. 29 after Eastern picked up a 3-1 road win on Jan. 28.At the Three Rivers Sportsplex in Georgetown, four different players – Amelia DesRoches, Kristyn Taylor, Isabelle Richards and Molly McInnis – scored for the Wind, who improved to 7-14-3 . Chloe Gallant added two assists.

Emily Gardiner, Kali MacDonald and Brooke Walsh countered for the Stars . Emily Lutley added an assist.Winning goaltender Jenay Spence stopped seven of 10 shots. Olivia Lowe made six saves on 10 shots for the Stars.At the Cavendish Farms Community Events Centre in Tyne Valley, Maggie Mullins scored what proved to be the winning goal 26 seconds into the third period to give the Stars a 2-1 lead.
