CORNWALL, P.E.I. — RCMP is investigating a suspicious incident, where a man allegedly impersonated a peace officer in Cornwall on Saturday, Oct. 7.
Police said a woman was walking her dog along Ferry Road near Pyes Lane before she was approached by a blue SUV driven by a lone male, around 8:20 p.m.He told her he was a member of the RCMP and asked the woman to get into his vehicle so he could ask her some questions. The woman refused and ran home to callThe blue SUV was last seen heading east of Ferry Road towards York Point Road.
Police remind the public to request identification such as the officer's badge and photo identification card, from anyone identifying themselves as a police officer.
