Police said most of the collisions were weather-related, with about half happening on Friday. Only two collisions happened on Monday during the snowstorm.There were no serious injuries reported, however, one person was taken to hospital. One collision was caused by a driver failing to stop at a stop sign, and a summary offence ticket was issued.
Another incident involved people being stuck in their vehicles, requiring the North Shore Fire Service to help in a rescue.Police encouraged Islanders to drive according to road conditions, especially when there is snow and ice on the roads.
