CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Julie Gilman has taken the reigns as the new complaints officer for P.E.I.’s French Language Services Act.
Previously working with the Department of Health, the Acadian Museum of P.E.I. and the Acadian and Francophone Affairs Secretariat, she currently is employed at Veterans Affairs Canada. She will only be involved in the review process if the French language service co-ordinator is unable to resolve or dismiss the complaint or if the complainant specifically asks the officer to review the dismissal.
“The implementation of the act and the complaints officer can make a big difference for Islanders who want French language services from their government.”
