Gladstone Higginbotham and his wife Lyn have won a $1 million Lotto 6/49 prize.MONTAGUE, P.E.I. — Gladstone Higginbotham had a winning Lotto 6/49 ticket worth $1 million for nearly a month before he finally claimed his prize.

The town of Montague had been abuzz after Atlantic Lottery reported someone had won a $1-million Lotto 6/49 Guaranteed Prize on a ticket bought in the community for the Aug. 20 draw. Four weeks later, Higginbotham, of Murray River, came forward to claim his prize after his daughter alerted him and his wife Lyn by sharing a social media post.“I asked him where he bought his tickets, and he said Montague, so that’s when he checked.”
