The provincial government is launching the Beach Infrastructure Program which gives up to $5,000 in funding to organizations looking to upgrade public beach infrastructure. FileCHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — P.E.I. is launching a new beach funding program to enhance people’s experience of beaches along the Island.

Funding is eligible for the purchase/construction of waste sorting stations, waste removal costs, portable washroom rentals, construction of permanent washrooms and beach access improvements, such as boardwalks, steps, beach wheelchairs and more. Economic Growth, Tourism and Culture Minister Bloyce Thompson said P.E.I. is fortunate to have such beautiful beaches.
