Deputy fire chief says there’s reason to believe the fire is suspicious
Following an overnight fire at an older vacant home on Montée Principale in the Chelmsford area, Greater Sudbury Fire Services Deputy Chief Jesse Oshell says “we do have reason” to believe “the fire to be suspicious.”
The deputy fire chief said Municipal Road 15 remains closed at this hour due to firefighting operations, but a detour is in place from Montée Rouleau to Montée Principale. MR 15 remains closed between Montee Principale and Montee Rouleau as a result of a structure fire. When heading westbound on MR 15 please take the Valleyview Rd/ Montee Rouleau exit off of MR 15 to avoid being turned around at the fire scene.“So there's a detour from Montée Rouleau to Montée Principale, but the road will remain closed, I would estimate, until mid morning, while we ensure there's no further hotspots.
