Over 800 participants are expected to take part in the upcoming Open Government Partnership Asia and the Pacific Regional Meeting , according to the Department of Budget Management .During the event’s media launch on Wednesday, DBM Assistant Secretary Rolando Toledo shared 880 people have registered for the event, exceeding the estimated 700 expected delegates.

The OGP is an international movement for openness where the Philippines is one of the eight founding governments, together with Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, Norway, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States.It aims to secure concrete commitments from governments to promote transparency, empower citizens, fight corruption, and harness new technologies to strengthen governance.
