'Out of control': Yellowhead County wildfires tamp evacuee hopes for quick return abfire
Christine Beveridge, chief administrative officer with the Town of Edson, about 215 km west of Edmonton, said Tuesday
The fire remains roughly 1.5 km from town limits to the south, which hasn’t changed from Monday. Starting Tuesday, fire crews began working around the clock to keep the situation under control, specifically targetting south of the town where the fire is progressing towards the community. Public Safety and Emergency Services Minister Mike Ellis on Monday told reporters that crews are working around the clock to stay on top of the situation.
