The US Pentagon is in a “data-gathering mode” as there have been up to 650 cases of unidentified “balloon-like entities” flying around the sky, says Former US Navy fighter pilot Ryan Graves.

His comments follow the Pentagon’s recent claim at a hearing they had no “credible evidence” of extraterrestrial activity.

“The majority of the objects that are being seen are orb-like or spherical in shape,” Mr Graves told Sky News Australia. “They don’t have any type of exhaust in their propulsion systems – how they’re being propelled … is unknown at this time and the origin of these objects are unknown at this time as well.”

Mr Graves said the entities were “crossing into the threshold” of a safety hazard and were being reported through aviation safety channels. “With the different emerging nation states and adversaries we have, we need to be careful we don’t have ourselves taken by surprise by any technology that may be present in these countries.”

So far, they have found no evidence of outer-world technology or alien life, admitting only a small percentage of UAPs – unexplained aerial phenomena – display signatures which could reasonably be described as anomalous.
