The Orang Asli community has called on the Nenggiri state assemblyman elected in this Saturday’s by-election to make regular visits to their area, allowing them to become familiar with their new representative.
“We have never had the opportunity to discuss with him the problems we are facing in the interior and this lack of communication has been a great concern for us,“ he told Bernama recently. Meanwhile, Pos Gob Kampung Tembaga headman Elan Pedik, 45, said for the past year, he had to rely on the Orang Asli Development Department for any issues faced by the residents.
