J. Robert Oppenheimer’s descendant is reflecting on her grandfather’s legacy, ahead of the release of the film ‘Oppenheimer’.
His granddaughter, Dr Dorothy Oppenheimer Vanderford says his legacy should be remembered as heroic and he should not be villainized.
“I see it as something that was necessary at the time and that we are still living with as a legacy today because nuclear weapons are still around and still of concern,” she said.
