In spite of its explosive popularity in search engine innovation, the economic value of ChatGPT remains undiscovered. How entrepreneurs leverage it to find product-market fit and scale the technology for commercial success will depend on concerns around copyright, licensing and ethical use of AI. We can ask ChatGPT, “How do I tell when someone is horsing around?” It then interprets the use of ‘horsing’ as a synonym for a joke or playfulness as opposed to equestrian or anthropomorphic attributes. This frontier in information gathering could largely benefit knowledge-based workflows, and the next generation of entrepreneurs should be vying for a piece of the pie.
Products that reliably detect AI-generated content will be in high demand, similar to the counter industry of ad blockers and VPNs to circumvent ad and region-locked media.
