Mike Wilner: Ashley Stephenson, the Blue Jays’ second female coach, is no stranger to success

who is now director of major-league operations for the New York Mets, ran an MLB-sponsored diversity and inclusion program called Take The Field. Stephenson attended twice, and it made an impression each time. She was also helping out with Jays-sponsored coaching clinics across Canada and caught the attention of T.J. Burton, the club’s program manager for amateur baseball.the Jays’ assistant general manager.
The Jays asked Stephenson to travel to Dunedin and work with their Florida Complex League team for a week.
