It is possible that Canadian Security Intelligence Service is unofficially correct and that the People’s Republic of China embassies, consulates and United Front networks and agents have been, and are, involved in specific efforts to unlawfully impact the outcome of Canadian federal elections.
“Leaks” from national security organizations are against the law and are currently being investigated by the RCMP. Inflaming segments of the public, who might use the information as rationale for taking matters into their own hands, is dangerous and racist. In other words, the purveyors from within Canada’s political establishment with no Chinese connection could and would do more harm to Canada’s competitive interests with the PRC, than some potential Chinese agents.
