Dadagdagan ang oras ng operasyon ng Metro Rail Transit (MRT)-3 at Light Rail Transit (LRT) 1-2 sa Metro Manila ngayong kapaskuhan dahil sa inaasahang dami ng mga pasahero, ayon sa Department of Transportation (DOTr) nitong Huwebes.

Sinabi ni DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista, dadagdagan ang oras ng operasyon ng MRT-3 LRT 1 at 2 simula December 16 para inaasahang pagdami ng mga pasahero sa Pasko at Bagong Taon. "On select days, our trains will operate earlier in the morning and later into the night to offer greater convenience to passengers during the holiday season," pahayag ni Bautista. "These adjustments will also allow our rail employees more time to spend with their families as they celebrate the holidays,” patuloy ng opisyal. Mula December 16 hanggang December 23, magsisimulang bumiyahe ang MRT-3 mula North Avenue station sa ganap na 4:30 a.m at 5:05 a.m mula naman sa Taft Avenue. Pahahabain ang operating hours nito na ang huling biyahe ay aalis sa North Avenue sa ganap na 10:34 p.m., habang ang sa Taft Avenue naman ay 11:08 p.m. Pero sa Dec 24 at Dec 31, ang last commercial train ay aalis sa North Avenue ng 7:45 p.m. at sa Taft Avenue naman ay 8:23 p.m. Sa December 25, 2024 at January 1, 2025, magsisimula ang operasyon ng MRT-3 sa ganap na 6:30 a.m., na ang huling biyahe ay aalis sa North Avenue ng 9:30 p.m. at sa Taft Avenue naman ay 10:09 p.m.LRT 1-2 operations Samantala, magsisimula ang biyahe ng LRT-2 sa Antipolo at Recto stations sa ganap na 5 a.m. simula sa December 17 hanggang December 23. Palalawigin ang operating hours nito sa naturang mga petsa sa Antipolo Station hanggang 9:30 p.m. sa last trip, at 10 p.m. naman sa Recto. Sa December 24, magbubukas ang mga naturang LRT-2 station sa ganap na 5 a.m. pero ang last commercial trip sa Antipolo station ay sa ganap na 8 p.m. at 8:30 pm naman sa Recto station. Magiging regular operating hours naman magmula December 25 hanggang December 30, at simula sa January 1. Magsisimula naman sa December 20 ang adjusted operating hours ng LRT-1, na may biyahe na magmula Dr. Santos Station sa Paranaque hanggang sa Fernando Poe Jr. Station sa Quezon City. Ang pinakamaagang biyahe nito sa December 20, December 23, December 26 at December 27 ay sa ganap na 4:30 am. Ang huling biyahe naman sa December 20 at December 23 ay sa ganap na 10:30 p.m. mula sa Dr. Santos at 10:45 p.m. sa FPJ stations.—FRJ, GMA Integrated News
