Donald Campbell murdered Fenny Campbell, 44, on Jan. 14, 1998, in the garage of their Wyoming home.
A new National Parole Board hearing, just seven months after Donald Campbell, 69, was denied day parole and unescorted temporary absences from prison, is set for Dec. 21, the same date in 1999 when a jury in Sarnia returned a guilty verdict against the former high-flying executive director of the Lambton County Association for the Mentally Handicapped, for murdering Fenny Campbell, 44, on Jan. 14, 1998, in the garage of their Wyoming home.
“Our lives were forever changed by the cold-blooded, calculated and deliberate actions of Donald Campbell on Jan. 14, 1998, and though much time has passed, we continue to feel the impact of our mother’s loss even to present day,” the siblings wrote. Fenny Campbell died after her husband struck her in the head with a heavy marble pestle – a baseball-bat-shaped
After a five-hour hearing in May, the parole board panel decided his release plan “does not address your lack of insight into and your ability to identify the prime risk factors underlying your family violence issues and to manage them,” and called him “an undue risk to society.”
