KEI supplies no fewer than nine automakers, including General Motors, Toyota, Honda, Stellantis and Ford, all of which have assembly plants in Ontario.
A leading Canadian auto supplier of plated finished products, such as roof racks and running boards, is getting $3 million in federal funding to expand its operations in Southwestern Ontario.
The expansion will also create 45 jobs. Neither the government nor KEI said how much the entire project will cost. KEI Vice-President of Finance Jeff Regehr said the funding will help the company “add new products, access new markets, and continue to be globally competitive from our Kitchener location.”
