Ontario moves to ban 'ugly' floating homes making waves in cottage country

But a manufacturer of these floating homes insists these structures qualify as boats and can\u0027t be banned

The changes don’t apply to watercraft like yachts and cruising boats that are “self-propelled and steered independently.” Cottage associations are lobbying Transport Canada to stop allowing floating homes to be deemed “vessels.”
