A listing on the EU Intellectual Property website shows an application for the name OnePlus Open, hinting that what their upcoming foldable would be called.
There’s a chance that they won’t go through with OnePlus Open when the foldable does finally arrive later this year though. Jambor did indicate that OnePlus had also registered the trademarks for the names OnePlus Prime, OnePlus Wing, OnePlus Peak and OnePlus Edge, though he believes that OnePlus Open is currently in the lead.
I mean, OnePlus Open doesmake sense, seeing that it is supposed to be a Galaxy Z Fold-esque foldable that can be opened up to show off the large main display.—sorry I meant, OnePlus Open—in the coming few months; according to the EU IP website, the opposition period for the OnePlus Open name will end in August. While we will have to wait for the full launch to know more about it, speculation is that it will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 under the hood with a main 7.
