OnePlus has released its latest entry-level midrange phone, the Nord CE 3 Lite priced at RM1,099. It comes with mainly the same specs as the Nord CE 2 Lite, albeit with a few new features.
At the heart of the Nord CE 3 Lite is the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chip as before, providing 5G connectivity. You also get 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. If that’s not enough, you can expand the storage further using the MicroSD/SIM card tray, something that’s fast becoming a rarity even at this price range.
The big news is the 108MP main camera , providing a useful boost in resolution from the CE 2 Lite’s 64MP. The Samsung HM6 1/1.67-inch sensor utilises nine-to-one pixel binning for better detail without sacrificing low-light performance, and it can also deliver what OnePlus is claiming an “optical quality” 3x zoom. Despite the “triple camera” setup, there’s no ultra-wide on this phone—just a 2MP depth sensor and macro shooter. The selfie camera is a 16MP hole-punch unit.
