Starfield's city maps need more detail.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Starfield consists of an extremely vast galaxy-spanning map with over 1,000 planets to explore. When landing on some of them, however, its city maps aren't that helpful in navigating where to go and seem to exist merely to assist those wanting to fast-travel between icons.
It also feels like a huge step backwards compared to the maps seen in Bethesda's other RPGs such as Skyrim where players got a clear idea of where they were situated through landmarks such as mountains and rivers being displayed prominently alongside the similar kind of mission and location icons. In Starfield, its city maps consist merely of blue dots, and it can become easy to get lost at first before getting used to the city's layout upon repeat visitation.
