One man has died and another was injured after an overnight shooting at Lawrence Avenue West and Weston Road, police say.

One man has died and another was injured after an overnight shooting in Lawrence Avenue West and Weston Road, police say.

Toronto Police responded to several calls reporting multiple gunshot sounds Saturday night just after 11 p.m.Police said in a tweet another man attended a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound in what is believed to be a related incident. The man remains in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Cst. Laura Brabant told the Star investigators will remain in the area canvassing for witnesses and video surveillance. Any driver who was in the area last night is encouraged to come forward, she added.
